Inv. T.14.001

Ritual mask crowned by a powerful representation of divinity. The simple but expressive face is decorated with geometric patterns and couples of stylized lizards facing themselves.

Its flat and large nose, in between the small almond-shaped eyes and the open mouth, is characteristic of ancestor figures or representations of divinities.
The mask was worn by dancers during traditional celebrations or festivals.
